Florida Fishing Academy and CBS, 2023!

In 2014, the FFA’s executive director, Capt. Rich Brochu, won the Loggerhead Blue Friend of the Year award for his contributions to marine conservation. In 2012, the academy was featured in a “Making A Difference” segment on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. In March 2010, the FFA was one of 15 nonprofits nominated for the Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller’s Best Practices Award for implementing an “innovative model of excellence.” And in 2013 and 2014, we received certification for Sound Nonprofit Management by Nonprofits First. We know the value of environmental conservation, and we have been recognized as leaders in those efforts.
